As Hays County continues to grow, this study aims to determine the feasibility of widening RM 150 east of I-35. Existing road conditions include one lane in each direction with a continuous center turn lane and shoulders on both sides.
The feasibility study will evaluate widening the road to include two lanes in each direction with a median and turn lanes. The focus is to improve safety and mobility for all travelers. Currently only the feasibility study is funded. If it is determined that widening is feasible, future phases would include additional design and it could be done in partnership with TxDOT and the City of Kyle.
